Studio Policies

You are encouraged to pre-book your appointment(s) as last minute availability is not often possible. We offer both online booking and/or you can always call, text or use the Contact section to email your appointment request. If the preferred time isn’t available it is because that time is already reserved. Please note all appointment requests are returned during business hours. 

New Clients: Each year I ask that you fill out a fresh consultation form.  If you are interested in corrective services, we also encourage you to bring your current skin care regimen with you to your first appointment. You may also be asked to update your information if you have any changes to your routine or medications, to best serve you.

General health information is collected to provide a safe and healthy environment for my clients, to ensure continuity of information from one visit to the next, and to best assist in customizing treatments based on individual needs, particularly if there are medical issues or allergies which could have contraindications for certain products or services.  Your health information can be updated annually or at your convenience. No service is provided without a detailed consultation.

Appointment Reminders

Email and text reminders are sent out 48 and 24 hours prior to your appointment time. This allows for ample time to cancel or reschedule if you happen to forget your appointment.

Please do not reply to the text reminder at the number it is sent from. We will not receive any reply message. If you need to get in touch with us you can call or text at (417) 812-6375.

Late Arrival

We want you to fully enjoy your time with us, so please arrive promptly for your service. My treatments are designed to deliver the most benefit within the time allotted. As a courtesy to my other guests, we may be unable to extend service times. Please understand that we cannot issue refunds or adjust pricing for late arrivals that result in a shortened service time. While we make every effort to accommodate late arrivals, if you are more than fifteen minutes late, your service may have to be rescheduled and our no show fee will apply.


Please aim to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive after your scheduled appointment time, it may not be possible to extend the time available for your booked service; if your service is shortened due to your late arrival, you will still be charged the full cost of the service. If you arrive 10 minutes late to your appointment, it will be considered a no show. Please be on time to your appointment.

Scheduled time is reserved especially for you. Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving me enough or any notice, I miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time and clients on my waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services they need.

To avoid incurring late cancellation/late reschedule/no show fee as described below 24 hours notice is required except in cases of contagious illness. The fees will be applied to your card or alternatively billed out to you via Square:

  • Notification given at least 24 hours prior to your appointment will receive no charges.
  • Notification given less than 24 hour prior to appointment time will result in a 50% charge of the service booked.
  • Failure to show up for your appointment ie “NO SHOW” will result in a 100% charge of the reserved service amount.

Unpaid balances from no show and cancellation fees need to be paid prior to scheduling your next appointment. Any standing appointments will be cancelled until balance is paid. Gift certificate balance will be used before any credit card or cash payment is taken.

Cell Phones

For your own relaxation, we ask that you turn your cell phone off or on silent. We don’t want any unnecessary interruptions while you’re trying to escape!

Minors/ Children

I love children – I even have one of my own. Please arrange for child care prior to your appointment. Unattended children in the salon and spa are a potential liability because of harsh chemicals and hot tools.

We do not work on anyone under the age of 18 without parental consent. If a minor wishes to receive a treatment we require a parental release form to be filled out and signed by the minor’s guardian prior to treatment.

Sanitation and Sterilization

Sanitation is always a priority. we use hospital grade sterilants and virucides to thoroughly disinfect and clean all  tools and equipment. If an item cannot be thoroughly sterilized it is thrown away after use.

Method of Payment

We accept cash and major credit cards. Cash is preferred. Prices are subject to applicable taxes. Prices are subject to change.


Esthetics By Abigail follows a strict “no tipping” policy! Instead, we ask that you donate to the American Heart Association or share our services with your friends and family. A referral is the greatest compliment we could receive.

Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates are non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash. All gift certificates must be mentioned prior to booking your appointment. Additionally, gift certificates must be presented at your appointment. Gift Certificates can only be used on full priced services and are not applicable on monthly specials, which are already priced special or for product. Dollar amount gift certificates and online vouchers do not include taxes and gratuity. Gift Certificates are not applicable on product purchases.

Studio Promotions

Monthly specials or Promotions cannot be used or combined with any other offer, promotions or gift certificates.

Product Purchases/Returns

We can only accept returns on unopened product in original packaging within 14 days of purchase

Scope of Practice

In Missouri, state law prohibits salon and spa professionals from diagnosing or treating clients with skin abnormalities. Should we determine that you are ineligible for service, we will happily refer you to an appropriate physician. When your condition has been resolved, you are more than welcome to return.
